The director/owners of VALLA have backgrounds in law, accountancy and merchant banking together with in-depth experience of providing bespoke offshore services to intermediaries and clients from all around the world.

We are independent and therefore not restricted to dealing with any specific asset manager, bank, lawyer or other service provider. We work with our clients’ chosen professional advisors.

Our name was inspired by Lorenzo VALLA who was a 15th century Italian humanist, rhetorician and educator with a professorship in eloquence. VALLA was born and died in Rome. His family was from Piacenza; his father, Luciave della VALLA, was a lawyer who worked at the papal court. One of VALLA’s most remarkable achievements lay in his emendations of Latin texts and he is best known for his textual analysis that proved that the Donation of Constantine was a forgery.
Today his name still stands for trust and honesty, the principal values of VALLA.
Purchase of Apex Trust Company Limited by a team led by David Petit, who is subsequently joined by Alison Johnson and Mark Baker as owner/directors.
Formation of first ten foundations, being 10% of the foundations registered at that time with the Jersey Financial Services Commission.
Peter Scull joins the company as client services director and part owner.
Move to new more spacious offices at 7 Esplanade, St Helier, Jersey and change our name to VALLA.
Nathan Petty promoted to the board and becomes a new part owner of the company.
VALLA concludes the purchase of a long established Jersey trust service company.
David Fitch aligns himself with the company and increases his consultancy role.
